EMERGING VENTURES
If you intend to showcase your venture at this event there are a number of things you can do. But there are deadlines!
- DUE: APRIL 28 | On a white background submit as high a resolution logo as possible to our contact, Andrew by April 14th! Squeezemytees will be printing these for free on Official Emerging Talk T-shirts. This is FREE advertising, so jump aboard before the 14th!
- DUE: APRIL 28 | We have set aside a space in the Technology Garden’s Sandbox, a wide open collaboration room, for your venture to be prominently displayed. Think tabling for a student function. Bring your schwag, promotional materials, business cards, and any display material you might have/want. There will be anonymous judges wandering around that night. If they like you or your team’s display, you will win either $500 or an Apple iPad.
- DUE: APRIL 21 | Submit a 30 second video pitch! This is the easiest way to win the $500 or iPad. Send our contact a link to your video prior to the event and your idea will not only earn you a chance at our flashy prize, but will be looped above a community suggestion board. All in attendance will be encouraged to post suggestions or critiques to your idea.
- DUE: APRIL 21 | Submit a 100/150 word venture description. We will post this on our site and refer inquiring sponsors/investors to it and your website.
- DUE: APRIL 21 | Register!
INTERESTED STUDENTS

DEADLINE-LESS ACTIVITIES
- HAPPENING: APRIL 28 | At the event, the Pitch Room will be dedicated to capturing 30 elevator pitches from attendees who DID NOT submit videos ahead of time. This is the second easiest way to win the $500 or iPad.
- HAPPENING: APRIL 28 | Emerging Problems will be a tryptic white board all attendees will be encouraged to add to. What is an Emerging Problem? As the name suggests, it is any issue you’ve encountered and thought, “Why isn’t there a solution to this yet?” Write your problem on the front of a post-it and your contact information on the back. This is is the 3rd easiest way to win the $500 or iPad.
